Maria Owens is a Danish contemporary artist, who creates sculptures and abstract mixed media paintings.
She paints intuitively and gets inspiration from her surroundings, music and the mood she is in. She paints to lose track of time, to be totally absorbed, to be mindful of shapes, colours and lines.
Every time a painting is sold Maria donates to ‘Trees That Count’ so a native tree in New Zealand will be planted in the region the buyer is from.
She lives in Titirangi with her Kiwi husband and two children.
