My mosaics are inspired by the environment where I live. I use porcelain, ceramic and glass tiles which are hand cut with wheeled cutters and glued directly onto the base. I work in series using the themes of the flora and fauna of NZ, the houses of Wellington and the people who live here. I have developed a method of two layers, which is effective with the Wellington series where I have created added depth to the view.
