I have been creative all my life and started painting, originally with oil paints about 25 years ago. I have a passion for bright colours and love painting large, bold abstracts. About 7 years ago I discovered fluid acrylics and this medium proved to be a revelation for me. It allowed me to embrace a greater sense of freedom and experimentation in my art. Working with fluid acrylics is a challenging and messy process and the results can be highly unpredictable. However, it is also incredibly fun and exciting, as I am constantly surprised by the unique outcomes that occur.
Currently I work, exhibit and sell my artwork from The Art Loft, a studio/gallery located in New Plymouth's CBD.
This year, 2024, I got the opportunity to attend the Wellington Art Show through Gover Street Gallery, New Plymouth. I displayed my work on just one panel and was proud to have good sales. I feel that if I have the opportunity to display on a larger wall it would show off a better spectrum of my work.
