Karen Hamilton-Smith is an established Wellington artist who paints in a slightly quirky, abstracted style over richly layered patinas. She uses strong warm colours and her work covers a wide variety of themes: memory-evoking seascapes, musicians and small abstract 10” × 10” artworks.  Any number of these 10” × 10” artworks can be put together to create a unique collection that will suit any size or situation – from a single piece to a large wall statement.

 

Karen has exhibited for over 20 years and has had a number of sell-out exhibitions in the Greater Wellington area. She is an award-winning artist and has had many exhibitions around NZ. 

 

Her work is held in private and corporate collections in Aotearoa New Zealand as well as overseas.
