Lisa Call

Lisa Call’s contemporary textile paintings explore pattern, structure, memory and adventure.

Instead of brushing color onto canvas, she paints by arranging hand cut shapes and lines from her vibrantly colored hand-dyed fabric into dynamic designs. Extensive stitching adds rich texture to the finished surface.

Lisa exhibits extensively in both solo and group shows across the globe. Previous museum exhibits include the Danforth Museum of Art in Massachusetts, The Mint Museum of Craft + Design in North Carolina and The Atlantic Center in Florida. Her textile paintings are included in numerous public and private collections, including the University Hospitals in Cleveland and the University of Pennsylvania.

Immerse yourself in Lisa’s captivating textile paintings and discover why her beautiful compositions were honored with a highly commended award at the 2022 Parkin Drawing Prize.
