Lynda Bell
Lynda creates magical worlds and visionary dreamscapes from the enchanted realm of her Northland studio. She is a painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer. With background training in fine arts, painting, teaching and arts therapy, she has built a unique art practice that inspires joy and ignites a feeling of hope and renewal into the hearts and minds of her viewers.
Her artwork is largely motivated by her love of animals and is intertwined with storytelling and the archetypes and symbolism within classic tales and mythological themes. She paints a world in which all things imagined are possible; dreams are real, and life is abundant and joyful. Within her paintings, stories unfold, and viewers are taken into utopian worlds of colour and fun, where animals are loved, and hearts are filled with kindness. It is within this world that people may be reminded of their love of daydreaming, and their integral connection to the stories that have been woven into our human experience.
Lynda has sold hundreds of original artworks as well as fine art prints to collectors around the world and has recently written and illustrated her first oracle deck, which has been published by Blue Angel Publishing. She is an active member of the international animal-rights art group: ‘The Art of Compassion Project’, who exhibit art worldwide on a regular basis to raise funds for animals in need.
