John Maillard is a New Zealand artist working in pen and ink, photography, and mixed media. His practice explores how memory, landscape, and human presence can be sensed as well as seen. Starting from intuitive marks and reflective, site-based inquiry, he creates layered works that reveal the threshold between observation, emotion, and the unseen.
