Laura Tait
Based in the historic village of Puhoi, north of Auckland, I live in an old farmhouse on a small property. I am a photographer that is inspired by the beauty of seasonal flowers. Every stem has been grown from seed to bloom, arranged and photographed by me, it is a love letter back to my garden, preserving and documenting this precious time growing flowers.
At the heart of my work is a garden I’ve lovingly cultivated, a vibrant wildflower garden filled with seasonal blooms that serves as both sanctuary and muse. Through a macro lens, I explore the intricate beauty of flowers, capturing their fleeting elegance with a painterly, timeless quality inspired by Dutch still life. Each image invites viewers to pause, connecting with the quiet drama and emotion found in nature’s smallest details.
I don't yet have the images printed or framed so unsure of the final details, I am getting everything priced early next week if I am accepted. I also intend to showcase as many of the images on my website.
