Hi my name is Talia Jones and I'm from the Waikato, NZ.

At age 17 I picked up a paint brush and painted my first A4 acrylic alpine mountain scene.

I created many more small paintings that year before getting a job.

8 years of working in hospitality later, at 25yrs old, having suppressed my creative appetite for many years it was time to give myself a chance again. 

This time with oil paint. I loved how I could blend this medium, unlike acrylic.

I've spent my whole life observing nature and light and I believe there's beauty in the simplest of things, from a dramatic mountain scene to the humble lawn daisy.

Being self-taught, I continually push myself to learn through experience and to create the best product possible, from canvas to its varnish, that it will hold its quality for decades to come.

My dream is to be a full-time artist, creating art that brings feeling and meaning.
